| Description: | My name is Jennifer Schumm. I am 32 yrs. old and a native to Denver, Colorado. I spent 10 yrs. dancing with Colorado Ballet from ages 6-16. I began working out in a gym at age 15, taking high impact aerobics classes, running and lifting weights. By age 17, I had become more serious about fitness I hired a personal trainer to further my knowledge. By college, I had developed an extreme passion for fitness and continued my education by majoring in Biology and Kinesiology and becoming certified as a personal trainer. I opened my own business as a certified personal trainer, nutrition consultant, and lifestyle and weight management coach. I ran my business, part time during college, out of a martial arts studio where I also taught Tae Bo for 6 years, and full time after college. After 7 yrs. of living in Boulder, Colorado, I moved to Denver, where I now work at Greenwood Athletic Club. I competed for the first time, June of 2005 in the Colorado State Figure Championships where I won the entire show, 5 trophies total, giving me my title of Ms. Figure Colorado 2005! In 2006, I continued on to compete in the Jr. Nationals in Chicago (made top 20), Team Universe in New York (8th place), and the USA's in Vegas (12th place). I also made the top 16 finalists for Hardbody Entertainment’s World’s Fittest Model Search 2006-07! In 2007, I continued to compete at Figure Nationals/Team Universe in New York, and USA’a in Vegas. My ultimate goal is to receive my Pro Card! I also am a radio fitness expert on KKZN “Live the Day” radio show (760 AM Sun’s 8am)! |
